Research Objectives

Clinical research & patient education are the main goals of our center.

Diabetes is now affecting 6-7% of the world's population. In conjunction with the World Diabetes Organization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (U.S.), Shijiazhuang Diabetes Hospital (China), and Washington Hospital (Fremont, California), our center has currently obtained successful achievement on the diabetes blood glucose control and complication limitation with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The Center has worked hand-in-hand with western medicine including family doctors and labs under the sponsorship of the World Diabetes Organization of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shijiazhuang Diabetes Hospital. Currently, there are 9 different formulas helping on different diabetic complication now under the last stage of clinical research.

In the past 9 years, under the leadership of Dr. Andrew Zhenghua Liu, the Center has just finished a successful research on Cerebrovascular Accident and Rehabilitation with acupuncture and herbal medicine in conjunction with California Pacific Medical Center Emergency & Rehab Center in San Francisco. The research has approved acupuncture with herbal medicine has lowered the rate of hemiplegia or hemiparesis and increased patients’ recovery rate and degree in a much shorter time.

Infertility is one of the most successful ongoing researches of the center. Based upon Dr. Liu's 25 years clinical research and experience, the center now has its own serial of Natural Herb Products - FertiPro (Cu Yun Jiao Nang) and SpermPro (Cu Yu Jiao Nang).

Pain Management is now the most popular diseases for adults in America – Back Pain and Pain Caused by Soft Tissue Injury. Out of every 100 adult Americans, 85 have pain in the back. Chinese herbal medicine works tremendously on muscle relaxation and pain control with very limited side effects while acupuncture is well known for pain management. Again based on Dr. Liu's research and clinical experience, the center now has a serial of external herb ointment and patches-Hua Jin San and Hua Yu San.
